Christopher A. Gazdik, LCSW, ATOD
Chris is an energetic and passionate therapist.  He is a licensed clinical social worker with a certification in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug treatment.  He has over 20 years of experience.  This vast experience includes work in many settings (inpatient hospitals, public mental health clinics, crisis units, and outpatient offices.  Chris works with all ages and couples.  In treatment he uses an individualized approach that enhances his fundamental application of cognitive behavioral techniques and other theoretical approaches.  Here is his resume:  CHRIS – Resume 1
Kelly Carpenter, LCSW

Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with clients to improve their lives. She feels that we often know that we want to make changes in our lives  but don’t know how or where to start. As a therapist she tries to take the intimidation out of therapy by creating a trusting and mutually respectful relationship.  The therapist client relationship is a partnership and her goal is  to help you become empowered to navigate the challenges in life by identifying the struggles and developing coping mechanisms. She works with individuals, couples and families  and uses each persons strengths as tools to make changes.  She especially enjoys helping people adjust to transitions in their lives such as moving into adulthood, marriage, becoming parents, divorce and loss of a loved one.

Barbara Cooper, LCSW
Barbara is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addictions specialist.  Barbara graduated from WVU and has been working in the field of human services for 20+ years.  She provides individual, marital and family therapy with an eclectic approach.  She also offers Christian therapy should the client prefer that type of support.
The letters behind the names indicate qualifications that demonstrate each clinician’s ability to practice a helping profession independently.  They usually take years of training and supervision to achieve and are a testament to the professionalism the individual has developed.

Allison Tucker, LCSW, LCAS
Allison is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed clinical addictions specialist.  Allison graduated from UNCC with a MSW and has over 20 years of experience treating adolescents and adults with substance abuse / mental health issues.  She provides individual, family, marital and couples therapy.  Allison meets the client where they are and uses an eclective approach that is very caring and supportive.
Rose P. Planer, MSW, LCSW
Rose Planer graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism.  However, after experiencing a personal traumatic loss, she decided to pursue a career in counseling, hoping to help others cope with loss and challenging life transitions.  Rose graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Winthrop University in 2005.  For the last five years she has worked in hospice and palliative care helping people navigate grief, illness, and loss.  Rose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and welcomes any adult to her practice who is struggling with a difficult life situation.
Lisa Burdick, MA, LPCS, 

Lisa earned her Masters degree in counseling from UNC-Charlotte, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (NC LPCS), and has been providing counseling services for over 20 years.  She has worked with clients of all ages in various settings, and specializes in adolescent and young adult issues.  Lisa is committed to providing a non-judgmental, respectful, and culturally sensitive counseling experience.  She utilizes a client centered, cognitive behavioral approach which can be adapted to incorporate a client’s spiritual and/or religious beliefs.  Lisa has over 20 years of experience in providing tools for healing and empowerment to individuals who are struggling with relationships, mental health concerns, substance use, and other life challenges.
